The bus stop outside our school had no shade in the afternoon. When we asked students where they waited, some pointed to a tree far from the sign. They could not always see the bus from there.
Our council measured the shadow at three different times and took photographs. We wanted to suggest a roof, but the sidewalk was narrow. A teacher helped us contact the town office and ask what was possible.
We sent our observations and two ideas: a small shaded area or a safer place for the sign. We did not claim to know which could be built. The first step was showing the problem clearly: students needed to wait somewhere they could see the bus without standing in full sun.
