Our class interviewed six people about the station square. We recorded their ideas and used an AI tool to make a short summary. It said, “Most people want more places to sit.” That was true, and it fit neatly on our slide.
While checking the recordings, I heard a delivery worker explain that parked bicycles sometimes blocked the narrow path. Another person using a cane had described the same problem. Their concern appeared only once in the summary, under “other comments.”
I asked my group whether we should leave the slide as it was. We agreed that the summary had captured a common wish but had hidden an important safety issue. We added a second point and included who had raised it, without sharing anyone's name.
The AI tool had saved us time. It had not decided which details mattered to our project. To make that decision, we had to return to the original voices and think about whose daily route we were describing.
