On a dry winter day, I took off my knit hat after school. My hair stood up, and my friend laughed.
"You look like a science experiment," she said.
Our teacher explained that rubbing can move tiny electric charges. On dry days, those charges do not leave easily. Hairs with the same kind of charge push away from each other.
That is why my hair stood up.
I did not plan to study science in the hallway, but science found me there.

她说：‘你看起来像个科学实验。’
老师解释，摩擦能让微小的电荷转移。在干燥的日子里，这些电荷不容易消散。带有同类电荷的头发会彼此排斥。
这就是我的头发竖起来的原因。
我原本没打算在走廊里学科学，可科学在那里找上了我。
