Open the English passage and hover for word help
Mina sends Haru a message: “Are we meeting at three?”
Haru is online, but there is no reply. Mina thinks, “Is he angry?” She wants an answer right away. The silence feels long, but Haru is probably busy.
An hour later, Haru writes, “Sorry. I was helping my little brother.”
The green online mark does not always mean “I am free.” Sometimes it is better to wait than to make a story in your head.

Background notes (Chinese)
“在线”可能只表示应用正在运行，不代表对方能马上回复。把沉默直接解释成“他生气了”，容易带来不必要的焦虑或误会。如果事情着急，可以说清楚自己需要在什么时候得到回复，再礼貌询问。
