A school project site offered a quick login through an account I already used. I clicked it and finished my work in minutes. Later I noticed that the site still appeared in my account's list of connected services, although our project had ended.
I read the permission details. Some access was needed to identify me; other requested information seemed unrelated to our task. With my teacher's help, I checked whether the site had its own deletion procedure and removed the connection I no longer needed. I also recorded what I had done so I could explain it to the next group.
The experience did not make me abandon convenient logins. They can reduce the number of passwords to manage. It made me treat the connection as an ongoing choice rather than a single button pressed once.
The fastest path into a service can leave a path behind. Reviewing that path after the work is finished is part of deciding whether the convenience still serves me.
