I wrote a short introduction for a class exchange. It said, “I like repairing old bicycles with my brother.” I asked an AI tool to make my English smoother. The new version began, “I am passionate about mechanical restoration.”
The sentence looked impressive, but I could not imagine saying it to another student. My teacher asked what I had written first. When I showed her, she said, “That tells me more about you.”
We kept my bicycle story and changed only the part that was hard to understand. I also followed our class rule for explaining when a tool had helped me. The final introduction had a few simple words, but I could read it aloud and mean every one.
