When our teacher asked us to imagine our town in ten years, our group drew tall buildings and fast buses. Then she asked, “What can you test this month?”
We chose one bus stop near school. We counted how many people waited there at three times of day and asked permission to speak with several passengers. Some wanted a clearer timetable; others wanted a place to sit.
We could not build a new stop. We made a simple drawing that showed both ideas and sent it to the town office. Our future town was not finished on one sheet of paper. But the drawing grew from something we had seen and heard, not just from a picture in our heads.

我们没办法新建车站，便画了一张包含这两种想法的简图，寄给镇公所。一张纸当然画不完未来的家乡；但这幅图来自我们亲眼所见、亲耳所闻，而不只是脑海里的想象。
