I opened a new drawing app, and a message appeared: “Allow this app to use your location?” I was surprised. I wanted to draw a poster, not find a place on a map.
I chose “Not now” and tried the app. The brushes worked, and I could save my picture. Later, I asked my older sister why the app might want my location. She said there could be several reasons, but we could not know from that short message alone.
We read the app's explanation together. It said location was used for nearby events, a feature I did not need. I left the setting off. The request had sounded important, but I was still able to make my poster.

我打开一个新绘画软件，屏幕上弹出提示：‘允许此应用使用你的位置信息吗？’我有些吃惊。我只是想画海报，又不是在地图上找地方。
我选择‘暂不允许’，然后试用软件。画笔能正常使用，画作也能保存。后来，我问姐姐软件为什么想知道我的位置。她说可能有好几种原因，单看那条简短提示，我们没法确定。
我们一起读了软件的说明。原来，位置信息用于显示附近的活动；这个功能我用不上，于是继续关闭位置权限。弹窗看起来很重要，可我照样完成了海报。
